Elton John says Born this Way by Lady Gaga performed at 2011 Grammys new LGBT anthem?

Sir Elton John, pop music singer and outstanding performer, is featured as a performer in the film Gnomeo and Juliet. His popularity stretches across the globe and generations with hit songs such as Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. With a little help from friends Bernie Taupin and Leon Russell, Elton John has been able to share his musical talents with us.
A new father with partner, David Furnish, he is already talking about what prep school his children will go to! Previously a Grammy nominee for album of the year, he is joined by rap artist Eminem after losing the title to Arcade Fire for their album ‘the Suburbs’.
Elton John has been on the music scene for some time now. But that does not mean that he does not stay up to date with the music field. He was definitely watching the 2011 Grammy Awards. After watching Lady Gaga perform her newest son, Born This Way, Elton had the following to say:
?the anthem that?s going to obliterate I Will Survive”
What a statement! Does this mean he really likes Born this Way? As an openly gay man in Hollywood, Elton John advocates for equal marriage rights, HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness, and a myriad of causes that directly impact the LGBT community.
Elton John has many connections with the 2011 Grammy performers. Eminem is one of them. After his release of The Real Slim Shady in 1999, the two artists hit a wall in their working relationship.
Lyrics in Eminem’s songs were considered hateful towards the gay and lesbian community. So much so that the Alliance Against Defamation actually boycotted the Grammys in 2001 because Eminem was going to perform.
Since them, Elton John and Eminem have made amends, after a powerful performance by the duo in the 2001 Grammys of The Real Slim Shady.
